Nakul Karnik is an Associate at Evolution. He joined the firm in January 2024. Nakul has eight years of expertise in leveraged finance, private credit, and banking.

Prior to joining Evolution, Nakul spent two years at Morgan Stanley Private Credit, a leading direct lending platform with assets exceeding $10 billion. At Morgan Stanley, he was instrumental in underwriting senior and junior loans for middle-market, sponsor-backed companies across diverse sectors, including software, telecommunications, IT services, industrials, consumer products, and healthcare. Prior to that, Nakul spent three years with Wells Fargo Securities in the Leveraged Finance group, where he played a key role in syndicating high-yield institutional and bank debt for non-investment grade issuers. Earlier in his career, Nakul was an Analyst in the Technology, Media & Communications Investment Banking group at Regions Bank. There, he managed sell-side M&A transactions, equity offerings, and corporate loan underwritings.

Nakul holds a B.S. in Economics from Duke University and a Master of Accountancy & Valuation from Vanderbilt University.

At Evolution, Nakul is focused on origination, underwriting new investments, and portfolio monitoring.
