Phil DeBruin is a Principal and a member of the investment team at Evolution. He joined Evolution in April 2025.
He has more than ten years of experience across the private markets, with a background in originating, structuring, and underwriting middle market credit and asset-oriented opportunities.

Prior to joining Evolution, Phil spent three years at Limit Financial, an early-stage credit, insurance, and risk transfer manager. At Limit Financial, Phil was primarily responsible for the origination and execution of new opportunities, and also general business development and operations. Prior to that, Phil spent several years at Nassau Financial Group, an insurance holding company focused on making direct and indirect investments in private middle market opportunities, as well as Stabilis Capital, a special situations private credit manager.

Phil graduated from Boston College with an BS in Finance and completed an MBA at the University of Notre Dame .

At Evolution, Phil is responsible for originating new investment opportunities.
